HELL OF THE WEST

This Sunday the 1st Feb 2009 Bike Hub and AMS will join forces together at there first Hell of the west together.

Hell of the west consists of the following.

 2km SWIM consists of 1km upstream then 1km downstream return in the MacIntyre River (freshwater!!) starting and finishing at the Town boat ramp. The river has minimal current .

The 80km CYCLE leg is "dead flat", 40 km west out the Barwon Highway towards St George and return. The road surface is reasonable with some short sections that require care and attention. This stretch of road is renowned for its cross winds.

The 20km RUN consists of three loops heading towards the western edge of town.
